    Description

    Goosehead is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and service-oriented HR Generalist to join our Human Resources Shared Services team. This role is responsible for providing timely, accurate, and consistent HR support throughout the employee lifecycle while helping ensure HR processes, systems, and documentation are maintained in compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.

    The HR Generalist will serve as a key resource for teammates and leaders, helping resolve HR inquiries, execute employee transactions, maintain accurate HRIS data, and identify opportunities to improve HR processes and the overall employee experience. This role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities

    HR Shared Services & Teammate Support

    • Serve as a primary point of contact for teammates and leaders regarding routine HR questions, processes, policies, and procedures.
    • Respond to HR inquiries through established service channels and provide accurate, timely, and consistent guidance.
    • Educate teammates and leaders on available HR resources and promote self-service tools and solutions.
    • Escalate complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR team, including HR Business Partners, Benefits, Leave & Accommodations, Payroll, or Legal/Compliance.
    • Maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.

    Employee Lifecycle Administration

    • Support HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee changes, transfers, job changes, and offboarding.
    • Coordinate administrative activities associated with new hires, including background checks, required documentation, and HRIS processes.
    • Process employment and immigration-related documentation in accordance with established procedures.
    • Support termination and offboarding processes, ensuring required documentation and HRIS transactions are completed accurately and timely.
    • Conduct or coordinate exit survey and feedback processes as applicable.

    HRIS & Data Management

    • Maintain accurate and timely employee information in the HRIS.
    • Process employee data changes and HR transactions in accordance with established procedures.
    • Conduct regular audits to identify and correct data discrepancies.
    • Generate and maintain HR reports to support operational needs, compliance, and decision-making.
    • Identify opportunities to improve data integrity, reporting, and HRIS processes.

    HR Operations, Compliance & Audits

    • Support the administration and consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
    • Assist with HR compliance activities, audits, and documentation requirements.
    • Maintain accurate employee records in accordance with company record retention requirements.
    • Monitor HR processes for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Assist with developing and maintaining standard operating procedures, process documentation, and employee resources.

    Employee Relations Support

    • Provide guidance on routine employee relations questions and HR policies.
    • Document and route employee relations concerns to the appropriate HR partner when additional review or investigation is needed.
    • Support HR Business Partners and leaders with administrative and documentation needs related to employee relations matters.
    • Help ensure consistent application of company policies and established HR processes.

    Benefits & Leave Support

    • Provide general guidance and resources to teammates regarding benefits, leave, and other HR programs.
    • Assist with routine benefits and leave-related inquiries and direct teammates to the appropriate resources or specialized HR partners.
    • Support HR communications and administrative activities related to benefits and leave programs.

    Process Improvement & Projects

    • Participate in HR Shared Services projects and initiatives designed to improve efficiency, compliance, and the employee experience.
    • Identify recurring questions, process gaps, and opportunities to improve HR service delivery.
    • Assist with creating and maintaining process documentation, job aids, FAQs, and self-service resources.
    • Support HR audits and special projects as assigned.
    • Collaborate with HR teams and cross-functional partners to improve processes and resolve issues.

    Training & Knowledge Management

    • Maintain knowledge of HR policies, procedures, systems, and available resources.
    • Support the development and delivery of HR process and policy training for teammates and leaders as needed.
    • Help ensure HR knowledge articles, FAQs, and other self-service resources remain accurate and up to date.
