We are seeking an experienced, critical thinking Human Resources Generalist who will be responsible for the daily functions of the Human Resource Department including oversight and administration activities that support staff selection, hiring, on-boarding, benefits, leave, worker's compensation, terminations, coaching management, employee training and development, safety compliance, policy administration and fostering a positive and accountable work culture.

Essential duties and responsibilities are distributed amongst HR Team under the direction of the HR Manager and may include any or all the following:

• Employee liaison for welfare and pension benefits. Administer benefit eligibility and assist employees in claims resolution with TPA for assigned programs
• Administration of Workers' Compensation claims, oversee accident and incident reporting & resolution. Compile necessary OSHA reports, manages annual training & certification requirements. Serve on the Safety Committee.
• Administration of employee ADA accommodations, LOA for FMLA, STD, military, and approved unpaid personal leaves. Evaluate requests for eligibility and oversee approval process, benefits payable, TPA communications, return-to-work, and work restrictions.
• Administer onboarding and termination processes
• Ensure accurate data is passed from HRIS to Payroll System for all assigned programs; reconcile changes/investigate and resolve discrepancies with Payroll Administrator for semi-monthly payroll processing
• Provide employee assistance and coaching to first-line supervisors and department managers in accordance with company policies, up to and including documentation and workplace problem resolution
• Assist with conflict resolution, employee investigations, and report on policy infractions and complaints in accordance with assigned responsibility and company policy
• Develop, organize and implement approved training programs
• Administer employee recognition programs and collaborate on employee events and gifts; organize/execute approved functions in conjunction with other staff and management

Skills/Qualifications:

• Associate degree and/or bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources, or related field preferred; will consider relevant experience to off-set degree requirement for well qualified individual
• Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations; PHR or SPHR certification desired
• Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in an exempt HR role in a manufacturing environment.
• Computer literate with advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
• Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and utilize discretion when working with highly confidential company information and sensitive employee personal information

The salary range for this position is $65k-75k.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment, be highly organized with a proven capacity to multi-task and readjust priorities at short-notice, exhibit excellent customer service skills, excellent verbal, and written communication skills, be computer literate, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
