    Description

At Frontier Cooperative, we believe agriculture is more than a business, it's a way of life. As an agricultural leader serving Nebraska's farming communities, we provide a comprehensive range of grain, agronomy, feed, and energy products and services. But what sets us apart is how we do it: with integrity, with quality, and with a deep commitment to the communities we're proud to call home. We're looking for people who share those values and want to grow with us.

    What you'll do:

    Talent Acquisition

    • Own the full-cycle talent acquisition process - job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, selection, and offer coordination.
    • Coordinate pre-employment steps (background checks, drug screens, onboarding paperwork) to ensure new hires start smoothly and on time.

    Employee Relations

    • Serve as a secondary point of contact for managers and employees, providing coverage and continuity when the VP of HR is unavailable.
    • Conduct rotating site visits to build relationships, surface concerns early, and maintain visibility across all supported locations.
    • Ensure consistent application of company policy and compliance with federal and Nebraska employment law across every site.

    Payroll Backup

    • Serve as the designated backup payroll administrator, able to accurately run payroll on time when the primary administrator is out.
    • Review timekeeping data, resolve discrepancies, and process new hire, termination, and pay-change entries.
    • Support payroll compliance, including garnishments, tax withholdings, and multi-location wage and hour requirements.

    What we are looking for:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
    • 2+ years of HR Generalist experience; multi-site or field HR experience strongly preferred.
    • Working knowledge of federal and Nebraska employment law (wage and hour, EEO, leave laws, etc.).
    • Experience with high-volume or full-cycle recruiting.
    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build trust quickly across locations.
    • Highly organized, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
    • Proficiency with HRIS/ATS platforms (BambooHR or similar) and Microsoft Office.
    • Exposure to or hands-on experience with payroll processing; comfortable learning our payroll system as a backup administrator.
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel extensively across Nebraska.
