HR Generalist (Benefits Administration Focus) - Temp-to-Hire

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Work Environment: 100% Onsite
Compensation: $68,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience

Ultimate Staffing is partnering with a growing organization in Downtown Denver to identify an experienced HR Generalist with a strong background in Benefits Administration. This role will support the Human Resources Director in the day-to-day administration of HR programs while serving as a key resource for employees regarding benefits, payroll support, compliance, employee relations, and HR operations.

Key Responsibilities
Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and enrollment support.
- Coordinate new hire enrollments, qualifying life events, open enrollment processes, and benefit terminations.
- Work closely with benefit brokers and vendors to resolve employee benefit issues.
- Maintain accurate benefits records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Human Resources Support
- Assist with the full-cycle onboarding and offboarding process.
- Prepare and maintain employee files and HR records.
- Support employee relations matters and provide guidance on company policies and procedures.
- Assist with leave administration, including FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, and other employee leave programs.
- Support performance management and employee development initiatives.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and employment matters.
Compliance & HR Operations
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist with HR reporting, audits, and recordkeeping requirements.
- Support payroll processing by coordinating employee changes, deductions, and benefit updates.
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of employee information.
- Assist with special HR projects and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of Human Resources experience.
- Strong experience with benefits administration is required.
- Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, COBRA, workers' compensation, and general employment law.
- Experience supporting payroll and HRIS administration preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience working within HRIS and benefits administration platforms.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Human Resources certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar) preferred.
- Experience supporting a multi-state workforce is a plus.
- Experience with benefits open enrollment administration strongly preferred.
