HR Generalist
Location: Dallas, TX
Salary: $63,000-$87,000 annually
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Work Arrangement: Hybrid - Minimum 3 days per week in office
Position Overview
CornerStone Staffing is seeking an experienced HR Generalist for a direct-hire opportunity with a mission-driven organization serving the Dallas and Collin County communities.
The HR Generalist will support and manage day-to-day human resources operations across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR compliance, policy administration, performance management, benefits support, records management, and HR programs.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage and support recruitment activities, including applicant screening, interview coordination, candidate communication, and selection processes.
* Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and identify qualified talent.
* Support new-hire orientation, onboarding, employee changes, and separations.
* Serve as an HR resource for employees and managers regarding policies, procedures, and workplace concerns.
* Assist management with employee relations, performance, conduct, and workplace matters.
* Support performance management, employee development, training, and engagement initiatives.
* Assist with the development, implementation, communication, and maintenance of HR policies and procedures.
* Support compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
* Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, HR files, and HRIS data.
* Support benefits administration, including employee communications, enrollment assistance, and general issue resolution.
* Prepare HR reports, track metrics, and assist with audits and compliance reviews.
* Participate in HR projects and process-improvement initiatives.
* Partner across departments to support organizational effectiveness and a positive workplace culture.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
* Minimum 3 years of professional Human Resources experience.
* Experience supporting employee relations, recruitment, HR compliance, and general HR operations strongly preferred.
* Working knowledge of HR practices and applicable employment laws.
* Experience using HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate documentation.
* Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment when handling confidential and sensitive employee matters.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with employees, managers, leadership, and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
* PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
* Experience working in a nonprofit, human services, housing, healthcare, behavioral health, or similarly complex service-oriented environment.
* Experience facilitating HR-related training and employee-development activities.
* Experience supporting HR audits, compliance reviews, and process improvements.
