    Star Rock Farms is seeking a motivated and people focused Human Resource Generalist to join our growing organization. Star Rock Farms is a third and fourth generation family-owned and operating farming operation in Southeastern Pennsylvania. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys building relationships, supporting employees, ensuring compliance, and helping create a positive workplace culture. The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the HR department including enforcing company policies and practices as well as managing HR-related financial administration. You'll partner with leadership across multiple affiliated companies to manage the full employee lifecycle—from recruiting and onboarding to employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management.Key Responsibilities
    • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
    • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
    • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
    • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
    • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
    • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
    • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
    • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
    • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
    • Processes HR-related invoices including benefits providers, recruiting services, training programs, and HR vendors.
    • Submits invoices for payment and coordinates with accounting or finance teams.
    • Maintains records of HR vendor contracts, billing schedules, and payment documentation.
    • Assist with tracking HR department budgets and expenses.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
    • 1+ years of HR experience preferred
    • SHRM-CP certification is a plus
    • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
    • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills
    • Experience with HRIS systems
