Job Summary

The HR Generalist - Benefits & Sales Support is responsible for supporting day-to-day Human Resources operations with a primary focus on employee benefits administration and HR partnership for a multi-state Sales organization. This role serves asa key point of contact for employees and managers regarding benefits, HR policies, employee relations, onboarding, leave administration, and general HR support.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, employee-focused, detail-oriented, and able to balance administrative responsibilities with strategic HR partnership. This position collaborates closely with managers and employees to support the employee lifecycle while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations.

Essential Functions, Duties, and responsibilities

Benefits Administration
• Administer employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and 401(k) plans.
• Manage benefits enrollments, status changes, and terminations in HRIS systems.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions, claims, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate and support annual open enrollment activities, employee communications and education sessions.
• Assist employees with leave of absence processes including FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation and disability claims.
• Partner with benefits vendors, brokers, and payroll to ensure accurate processing and compliance.
• Maintain benefits records and prepare reports, audits, and documentation related to benefits administration and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations including ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA and ADA.

HR Generalist Responsibilities
• Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers, with a strong focus on supporting the Sales organization.
• Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, performance management and employee relations matters.
• Support onboarding and offboarding activities including orientation, system setup, documentation, and exit processes.
• Maintain employee records and ensure HRIS data integrity and confidentiality.
• Assist with performance management processes including goal setting, coaching discussions, and annual review cycles.
• Support employee engagement initiatives, training programs and organizational development activities.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition on recruitment support as needed.
• Assist with investigations, documentation, corrective actions, and employee relations matters while maintaining confidentiality.
• Support policy development, implementation and communication across the organization.
• Prepare HR reports and analyze workforce trends, turnover, and employee metrics.
• Facilitate weekly new hire orientation and support employee communications.
• Maintain compliance with employment laws and company policies.
• Participate in special HR projects and other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or directly related field.
• At least 5+ years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience overall.
• At least 4+ years of experience in associate relations including conflict resolution, complaint investigations, and policy interpretation.
• Strong comprehension of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Paycom/ADP or other ATS/HRIS system strongly preferred.
• Human Resources coursework, PHR, SHRM - CP preferred.
• Knowledge of current employment laws and practices in a multi-state environment.
