    Description

    Job Title: HR Coordinator
    Location: Orangeburg, NY
    Type: Contract
    Hours: Mon-Fri; 8am-4:30pm (5 days onsite)

    Responsibilities

    • Assist with recruiting, scheduling interviews, reference checks, etc.
    • Support the HR team with day-to-day administrative and coordination activities.
    • Maintain and organize employee files, records, documents, and other HR-related information.
    • Assist with filing, document management, and keeping HR records accurate and up to date.
    • Prepare and organize presentations, reports, spreadsheets, and other HR materials using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
    • Draft and send professional emails to employees, managers, and internal stakeholders.
    • Communicate with colleagues and employees to gather information, answer basic questions, and provide assistance as needed.
    • Attend meetings and take accurate and detailed notes, documenting key information, action items, and follow-ups.
    • Assist with scheduling meetings, coordinating HR activities, and tracking important deadlines.
    • Help prepare onboarding and employee-related documentation.
    • Enter, update, and maintain information in HR systems and spreadsheets.
    • Assist with various HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
    • Handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.
    • Provide general administrative support to the HR team.

    Requirements

    • BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field
    • 1–2 years of HR, administrative, or related industry experience, or relevant internship/co-op experience
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
    • Ability to write and send professional emails
    • Ability to take thorough and accurate notes during meetings
    • Experience with filing, document organization, and maintaining records
    • Comfortable communicating with colleagues and working as part of a team
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Previous experience in an HR department, corporate environment, or professional office setting (nice to have)
    • Familiarity with HR systems or HR databases (nice to have)
    • Experience supporting onboarding, employee records, or other HR processes (nice to have)
