HR Coordinator

Location: Cameron Park, CA

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM 

Reports To: HR Director

Compensation: $27- $30/hour, DOE

Position Summary

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and service-focused HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. Under the direction of the HR Director, this position provides day-to-day administrative and operational support across recruiting, onboarding, payroll coordination, HRIS administration, employee records, training, and other HR initiatives for a growing Property Management company.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, maintains confidentiality, communicates professionally, and is able to manage multiple priorities while providing responsive support to employees and managers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Recruiting & New Hire Support

  • Manage Full-cycle recruiting for property positions, including job postings, candidate communication, background checks, offers, and tracking pre-employment requirements.
  • Assist Managers, as needed, with screening, interview scheduling and reference checks.
  • Coordinate and prepare new hire onboarding materials.
  • Enter new hires into HRIS and complete I-9 with E-Verify.
  • Ensure required new hire documentation are completed and filed.
  • Monitor and ensure required new hire training is completed.
  • Provide new hires with training, assistance, and ongoing follow-up to support a successful onboarding experience.

Payroll & HRIS Coordination

  • Assist with employee timekeeping and payroll questions and coordinate corrections as needed.
  • Audit payroll data for mistakes and outliers and coordinate corrections as needed.
  • Ensure all timecards are accurate, approved and ready for payroll processing.
  • Communicate payroll schedule and deadlines to staff.
  • Prepare data for off-cycle payments and terminations.
  • Maintain employee information and records within the HRIS.
  • Process routine employee status changes in HRIS.
  • Assist with HRIS and timecard reports as needed.

Systems & Access Administration

  • Manage employee access and approvals for company applications.
  • Assist with setup for new properties in company applications.
  • Work closely with the IT Department to communicate new hire access, employee changes, terminations, new properties and access approvals.
  • Provide support to employees and managers for access' related inquiries. 

Training & Employee Support

  • Monitor staff training boards and track completion of required training.
  • Assist staff with general HR questions and direct more complex matters to the HR Director as appropriate.

Employee Records & Compliance Support

  • Maintain organized and confidential personnel files and employee records.
  • Ensure required employee documentation is received, filed, and maintained appropriately.
  • Assist with HR audits, reporting, and compliance-related projects as directed by the HR Director.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information and exercise appropriate discretion when handling sensitive matters.

Department & Company Support

  • Support the HR Department with projects, initiatives, and company-wide programs.
  • Assist with tracking HR Department expenses and cost spending.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the HR Director.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, Payroll, Recruiting, or a related field, required.
  • Some experience with HRIS and/or payroll systems, required.
  • Experience with full-cycle recruiting and onboarding preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also supporting a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong customer-service mindset and ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to learn and navigate multiple software applications and systems.
  • Ability to understand and support the Mission and Values of Arrowhead Housing.
