Part-Time HR Consultant (Woburn, MA, Hybrid)

Solex HRC is seeking an experienced, client-focused Part-Time HR Consultant to support our clients with a mix of on-site and remote HR services.

Location: Woburn, MA (Tuesdays on-site, plus as needed) plus remote Schedule: Part-time, 24 hours per week. Tuesdays on-site at a client location in Woburn, MA, plus as needed. Remaining hours worked remotely from home. Compensation: $40-$45 hourly depending on experience

About the Role

As an HR Consultant, you will serve as a trusted HR partner to multiple clients. Each Tuesday, you will be on site at a client in Woburn, leading new hire orientation and onboarding. On your remote days, you will support additional clients across a broad range of HR generalist functions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site new hire orientation and onboarding for our Woburn client
• Support remote clients with orientation and onboarding processes
• Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, and employee questions
• Develop and update employee handbooks, HR policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Process and support payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Perform day-to-day HR generalist duties, including employee relations support, recordkeeping, and compliance with Federal and Massachusetts employment laws
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR data in client systems
• Communicate professionally and build strong relationships with client leadership and employees

Qualifications

Required:

• At least 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Consultant
• Hands-on experience with onboarding, benefits administration, policy and handbook development, and payroll
• Working knowledge of Federal and Massachusetts employment laws and HR best practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities independently in a remote setting
• Reliable transportation to be on site in Woburn every Tuesday
• Residence within 15 miles of Woburn, MA

Preferred:

• Experience with ADP and/or iSolved HR and payroll systems
• HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP)
• Prior experience in an HR consulting or multi-client environment
