Pay Range: $23 - $25 per hour

Position Summary

The HR Assistant will organize, coordinate, and execute human resource projects and daily workflows. Working directly with the HR team, you will support vital initiatives across recruiting, onboarding, file maintenance, compliance tracking, and employee intake calls. Your ultimate goal is to maintain positive employee relations, boost worker satisfaction, and serve as a reliable resource for our team.

Core Responsibilities

Act as the first line of contact by answering employee questions, managing the HR voicemail, conducting initial intake calls, and smoothly escalating sensitive employee relations matters to the right HR partner.
Audit new hire paperwork (including I-9 compliance) for complete accuracy and process new hires into the payroll system.
Support the talent acquisition pipeline by maintaining the recruitment requisition log and posting job advertisements.
Assign mandatory compliance training modules, maintain meticulous training records, and assist with researching evolving state and federal employment laws.
Draft training materials, manage physical and digital file maintenance, and handle clerical duties like scanning, mailing, and photocopying.

What We Are Looking For

At least 2 years of related HR experience (or an equivalent blend of education and practical experience). An HR Certification is a strong plus!
Prior experience navigating HRIS platforms like Paycor or ADP.
High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills. A natural ability to build strong, supportive, and trusting relationships with both frontline staff and management.
An uncompromised commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality regarding sensitive employee and company data.
Top-tier attention to detail, a knack for multitasking, and the ability to juggle shifting priorities under minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:

Constant sitting and typing/operating a computer, phone, and mouse. Frequent talking and hearing. Occasional lifting up to 10 lbs (rarely up to 25 lbs).
Typical office environment with moderate noise levels.
