Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional HR Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our Human Resources department. This position plays a key role in employee onboarding, HR administration, record maintenance, benefits support, and recruiting coordination. The ideal candidate is organized, confidential, customer-service focused, and eager to grow within the HR field. Responsibilities

  • Assist with onboarding and new hire paperwork

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR files

  • Support recruiting efforts by scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates

  • Process employee status changes, terminations, and data updates

  • Assist with benefits enrollment and employee questions

  • Support leave administration, including FMLA and other employee leave requests

  • Maintain HRIS and timekeeping records

  • Complete employment verifications and other HR documentation

  • Assist with open enrollment activities and employee communications

  • Coordinate employee events, training sessions, and orientation programs

  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with employment regulations

  • Provide administrative support to the HR team and leadership

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred

  • 1+ years of administrative or HR experience

  • Experience with HRIS systems preferred (ADP, UKG, Paycom, Workday, or similar)

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism

  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through

Preferred Experience

  • Employee onboarding and orientation

  • Benefits administration

  • HRIS data entry and reporting

  • Background checks and employment verification

  • Leave administration (FMLA, ADA, LOA)

  • Payroll support

  • Compliance and employee record management

Pay Details: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
