Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia's capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. The HR Analyst - Workforce Development & Adjunct Faculty Support provides professional Human Resources support for workforce development initiatives and the recruitment, appointment, onboarding, administration, and ongoing support of the Community College Workforce Alliance (CCWA) and adjunct faculty, part-time faculty and wage/hourly positions, as well as processing tasks for work study personnel, in addition to other contingent instructional personnel.

The position serves as a key HR liaison to CCWA, academic schools, workforce development programs, department chairs, program directors, deans, supervisors, and adjunct faculty. The Workforce Development & Adjunct Faculty Support HR Analyst coordinates and monitors employment processes to ensure that CCWA, adjunct faculty and workforce personnel are appropriately appointed, credentialed, onboarded, documented, and supported in accordance with CCEA, college, VCCS, DHRM, and applicable regulatory requirements. Any concerns will be communicated to the appropriate office to allow any issues to be resolved jointly as needed.

The position also provides HR data analysis, workforce reporting, process improvement, and customer service to support effective staffing decisions and CCWA and the college's workforce and instructional priorities.

Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in human resources, workforce administration, higher education administration, personnel administration, or a related field.
  • Experience using HR information systems, databases, spreadsheets, or other workforce-management technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze information, maintain accurate data, and prepare reports.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive employee information.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, managers, and administrators.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Human Resources, Workforce Development, Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
  • Experience working in a community college, college, university, government, or other public-sector environment.
  • Experience supporting adjunct faculty, part-time faculty, temporary employees, or other contingent workers.
  • Experience supporting workforce development, continuing education, career and technical education, and/or grant-funded programs.
  • Knowledge of VCCS and/or DHRM policies and procedures.
  • Experience with employee appointment, credentialing, onboarding, or other personnel processes.
  • Experience with HR analytics, workforce reporting, and/or data visualization.
  • Experience using PeopleSoft, Banner, Workday, Oracle, or another enterprise human resources information system.
