Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an HR Administrator for our partner, an established organization seeking a detail-oriented HR professional to support its growing team and day-to-day people operations. This is a hybrid opportunity requiring three days per week onsite, with flexibility to work from either New York, NY or Arlington, VA.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The HR Administrator will play an important role in supporting HR operations for an organization of approximately 120 employees, with primary responsibility for accurate and timely payroll administration. This position will also support employee records, leave administration, employee inquiries, EOR processes, and other essential HR functions. The ideal candidate is organized, service-oriented, and comfortable independently managing detailed processes while collaborating closely with internal leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage payroll-related processes with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, documentation, and effective issue resolution.
  • Support day-to-day HR operations for approximately 120 employees, including employee records, documentation, HR systems, and confidential information.
  • Assist employees with HR-related questions and provide responsive, professional support throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Coordinate leave administration and support related employee documentation, tracking, and communication.
  • Assist with EOR processes and other recurring HR administrative responsibilities while maintaining organized and compliant records.
  • Partner with the Head of Internal Operations to strengthen HR workflows, identify process improvements, and ensure consistent follow-through on department priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Hands-on experience independently managing payroll administration, with a strong commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Experience with PrismHR is strongly preferred; familiarity with Sequoia One or comparable HR/payroll platforms is welcomed.
  • Broad HR administration or people operations experience, including employee records, HR systems, and employee support.
  • Exposure to leave administration, benefits, or EOR processes is helpful, with an ability and willingness to learn additional HR functions.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and follow-through skills with a service-oriented approach to supporting employees.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This position offers a competitive annual salary of $90,000-$110,000, dependent on experience and qualifications. The role offers a hybrid schedule with three days per week onsite and the flexibility to work from either the New York, NY or Arlington, VA location.
