SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Human Resources (HR) Administrative Director plays a vital role in advancing the organization’s mission by ensuring that the people systems supporting our work are thoughtful, compliant, and human-centered. This position is responsible for facilitating daily HR functions across the full employee lifecycle, including talent attraction, recruiting, onboarding, leave of absence administration, policy administration, compliance, employee support, employee engagement & development, and HR systems management.
The HR Administrative Directorserves as a trusted internal partner to leadership, supervisors, and employees, balancing regulatory responsibility with compliant care, clarity, and collaboration. This individual operates as the sole HR professional within the organization and must be fully self-directed, owning the HR function end-to-end with a high degree of autonomy, accountability, and independent judgment.
The HR Administrative Director serves as the organization's subject matter expert (SME) on all leave of absence types, including FMLA, CFRA, Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL), ADA accommodations, and other applicable federal, state, and local leave programs. Through ownership and continuous improvement of HR processes, this individual ensures that HR systems, policies, and practices remain compliant with applicable laws while supporting organizational growth, operational stability, and a positive employee experience.

Compensation
The projected annual salary is estimated at $115,000 - $125,000 per year, based on years of demonstrated experience, representing the span of the range. The actual compensation will be formulated by the client and may vary based on factors that include, but are not limited to, the position offered, work experience, education, training, and commensurate experience.
