    JOB SUMMARY:

    The HR Administrator/Recruiter works under the direction of the SPI Human Resources Manager.  The HR Administrator/Recruiter provides both generalized and specialized employee assistance in a wide range and combination of activities for the SPI/SMS/SIE division.  

    This position will provide Human Resources support and Recruiting support to the SPI/SMS/

    SIE Division.    

    Human Resources  (25%) 

    1. Assists with all aspects of human resources process and procedure including but not limited to the following : 
    • Answering benefits questions 
    • Support with open enrollment (once a year) 
    • Updating changes in the ADP Portal for accuracy 
    • Running reports in ADP for management 
    • Support as back-up for timecards and payroll processing 
    • Background check/drug test screening for new hires
    • Assist with new hire paperwork including offer letter, onboarding and orientation 
    •  Maintain payroll records by entering any changes to employee information in ADP   

    such as job title changes, exemptions and deductions

    • Running reports including summaries of earnings, tax deductions, hire date, and salary information
    • Collecting timecards and calculating payroll hours, overtime, on-call or commissions on a semi-monthly basis.
    • Resolving payroll discrepancies for all employees 
    • Maintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures 
    • Processing and issuing W-2 forms to employees at the beginning of each year
    • Maintain and file confidential documents to include personnel, workers compensation,             unemployment payroll and benefits.
    • Assists with annual performance evaluation distribution and collection 


    Recruiting (75%) 

    1. Responsible for sourcing, attracting, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates to meet all open requisitions. 
    • Sourcing and attracting candidates through job boards, social medica, networking events and employee referrals to build a strong talent pipeline. 
    • Screening and interviewing applicants to assess skills, experience, and cultural fit, often conducting phone or video interviews before coordinating in-person meetings. 
    • Collaborating with hiring managers to understand job requirements, develop job descriptions, and ensure alignment with organizational needs. 
    • Managing the hiring process includes extending offers, negotiating salary and benefits and guiding candidates through onboarding. 
    • Maintaining recruitment metrics such as time-to-hire, cost per-hire, and candidate quality to optimize the recruitment process. 
    • Ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies thoughout the hiring process.  
    • Recruiters play a critical role in ensuring organizations attract, hire, and retain top talent. They combine sourcing, interviewing, and relationship-building skills with knowledge of employment laws and recruitment metrics to manage the full hiring lifecycle efficiently 


    QUALIFICATIONS:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


    • Maintain excellent computer skills (word, excel, outlook and powerpoint) 
    • Detail oriented 
    • Knowledge of ADP a major plus 
    • Can maintain confidentiality 
    • Dependable on the performance 
    • Experience with Human Resources duties 
    • Good organization skills, can multi-task 
    • Exhibit intellectual curiosity and proactive problem-solving skills 
    • Communicate effectively and confidently at all levels, over the phone, face to face and by email 
    • Excellent oral and written communication to interact with candidates and hiring managers 


    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    • A bachelor’s degree preferred 
    • Three to five years of related experience in Administration, HR, Recruiting, Payroll or equivalent combination of education and experience.   


    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
