Job Title: HP Digital Press Operator – 1st Shift
Location: Dallas, TX Area – Confidential Employer
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM | Four 10-hour shifts

A well-established label and packaging manufacturer in the Dallas area is seeking an experienced HP Digital Press Operator for its first-shift production team.
This is a direct-hire opportunity for someone with hands-on HP digital press experience who understands label production, color, substrates, quality standards, and press troubleshooting. The schedule provides a consistent four-day workweek, Monday through Thursday.

Set up and operate HP digital presses producing pressure-sensitive labels and related printed products.
Review job tickets and specifications before beginning production.
Load jobs into the press using the correct stocks, primers, tint rollers, counts, and color strategies.
Verify substrate, web alignment, sizing, calibration, registration, and overall print quality before and during production.
Monitor jobs for color accuracy, defects, and other quality issues.
Make press and color adjustments as needed to maintain customer specifications.
Perform job changeovers and setups efficiently while minimizing production downtime.
Use X-Rite, i1, or similar color measurement and calibration tools when required.
Maintain required production samples and quality documentation.
Record production time, material usage, and job information accurately in the production/job management system.
Troubleshoot routine press and print-quality problems and escalate larger technical issues when necessary.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance, including basic operator-level component changes.
Assist with finishing or other production operations as needed.
Communicate job issues, changes, material concerns, and downtime promptly to production leadership.
Maintain accurate material and inventory usage.
Keep the press area clean, organized, and compliant with plant safety and housekeeping standards.
2+ years of HP digital press operating experience in a commercial printing, label, or packaging environment.
Hands-on experience setting up, running, and troubleshooting digital production equipment.
Experience with HP web-fed digital presses; Series 4–6 experience strongly preferred.
HP Level 2 or higher operator certification is a plus.
Experience working with pressure-sensitive label stocks and related substrates.
Good understanding of color, registration, calibration, web alignment, and print-quality standards.
Ability to identify print defects and make adjustments during production.
Ability to read job tickets, rulers, scales, and other measurement devices.
Basic math skills involving whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and measurements.
Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with production leadership.
Previous pressure-sensitive label manufacturing experience.
HP Indigo web press experience.
HP operator certifications.
X-Rite and/or i1 color measurement experience.
Experience with primers, specialty label stocks, and multiple color strategies.
Experience performing routine preventive maintenance and basic press repairs.
Experience working in a quality-driven, high-volume label production environment.
Experience with some or all of the following is especially valuable:
HP digital / HP Indigo web presses
HP Series 4–6 equipment
Pressure-sensitive label substrates
X-Rite / i1 color measurement and calibration
Digital color management
Registration and web alignment
Press setup and job changeovers
Print inspection and quality control
Preventive maintenance
Basic operator-level troubleshooting and component replacement
Production/job management software
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with or without available mechanical assistance.
Ability to perform work requiring close vision, color differentiation, depth perception, and visual focus.
