Job Title: Scheduling Analyst I –Crude

Location: Houston, TX 77042

Duration: 12 Months

Pay Rate: $42.50/hr (W2)

Shift Timings: Monday–Friday, 1st shift (Hybrid)

 

Job Description:

The Scheduling Analyst I –Crude will support crude oil scheduling operations by ensuring accurate product movement transactions, inventory records, and SAP system updates. This role works closely with schedulers, accounting teams, traders, and offshore managed service providers to analyze inventory data, resolve discrepancies, and support month-end close activities.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and validate crude oil product movement transactions within SAP S/4HANA.
  • Review inventory builds/draws and analyze reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Execute SAP nominations, manual accruals, and corrections related to inventory transactions.
  • Investigate and resolve SAP system errors, ticketing issues, and inventory discrepancies.
  • Review and assist with Discrepancy Error Workbench (DEW) requests.
  • Support schedulers with troubleshooting when nominations do not create expected inventory impacts.
  • Partner with Trade Support, Accounting, Scheduling, and offshore service teams.
  • Prepare reconciliation reports and summaries for management review.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Assist with month-end close activities and high-priority inventory corrections.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate issues effectively.

 

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

 

Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in scheduling, inventory analysis, accounting support, or similar analytical roles.
  • Oil & Gas industry experience required.
  • Experience with crude oil scheduling preferred.
  • Experience working with SAP (S/4HANA preferred) financial or inventory modules.
  • Strong experience analyzing large datasets.

 

Technical Skills:
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, data analysis, reporting).
  • Experience with SAP reporting and transaction review.
  • Proficiency with MS Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to analyze and reconcile inventory/trading data.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
