This is an exciting time to work for Amarillo College! We are seeking our next Full-Time Housing Warehouse Specialist who will be all-in on our mission and who will perform a variety of clerical and administrative tasks to support the operations of the assigned program/department and facilitate smooth office procedures.

DESCRIPTION

Receive, store and distribute material, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse for the purpose of accomplishing the completion of unoccupied houses and tenant work order requests within established time frames in a safe and efficient manner.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Required: High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred: Some College Courses.

EXPERIENCE

Required: 3 years of warehouse experience.

Preferred: 4 years of warehouse experience.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Compare pricing for all office and warehouse supplies (procure bids and approval as necessary) and make purchases.
  • Create requisitions and set up blanket purchase orders.
  • Process and reconcile invoices & procurement card(s).
  • Maintain all records and follow management retention schedule.
  • Order, receive, stock and track supply inventory.
  • Manage all assets and supply inventory in Manager Plus Software.
  • Create reports as needed.
  • Distribute tenant work order requests and parts to maintenance personnel.
  • Track and report all housing vehicle miles, maintenance, inspections, registrations and oil changes.
  • Cross-train in all aspects of Administrative Clerks' position.
  • Participate in and complete performance assessments/evaluations as assigned.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Salary: Amarillo College follows a lag pay strategy, with starting offers typically between the minimum and midpoint of the pay grade, rarely reaching the maximum to support long-term growth within each position.

Pay grade 7 Amarillo College Pay Grades (salary is determined by Human Resources based on education, work experience and internal comparisons).

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee frequently stands, walks, bends, demonstrates patient handling techniques, and travels between classrooms, laboratories, and clinical settings. The employee must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, or move instructional materials, therapeutic equipment, and supplies up to twenty-five (25) pounds as needed.

Working Conditions: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and other program activities as needed.

Work Environment: This position operates in classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical education environments. Responsibilities include providing hands-on instruction and demonstrations, utilizing instructional technology and standard office equipment, and collaborating closely with students, faculty, and healthcare professionals. The position requires flexibility to work independently and as part of an instructional team while supporting student learning in a dynamic healthcare education environment.
