We're creating a brand-new Housing Strategic Asset Manager role at an exciting time for our Housing Service.
As we continue to improve our services and respond to new regulatory requirements, we are investing in our asset management capability to ensure that our homes remain safe, sustainable, affordable and fit for the future. This newly created role will be at the heart of that transformation.
You'll lead the development of our long-term housing asset strategy, using data and insight to drive investment decisions across almost 7,500 council homes. From stock condition, energy efficiency and retrofit planning through to regeneration, disposals and future investment priorities, you'll provide the strategic leadership needed to help us make the right decisions for both current and future tenants.

Building a new team
A key part of this role will be establishing and leading a developing asset management team.
You will manage and support colleagues responsible for asset intelligence and investment planning, including a team of Stock Condition Surveyors who will undertake a comprehensive programme of property surveys across our housing stock. Ensuring the quality, accuracy and integrity of the data collected will be critical to the success of our future investment plans.
