Best Best & Krieger LLP is a nationally recognized law firm focused on delivering effective and client‑service oriented solutions to complex legal issues facing public agencies, businesses and individuals across the U.S. With nearly 250 attorneys in offices throughout California, Oregon and Washington, D.C., BBK assists clients with complex, multidisciplinary issues and innovative solutions.BBK has an immediate opening for a mid‑level Litigation Associate to join our expanding Housing team—a unique opportunity to support a high‑impact practice focused on pressing housing issues in California.Ideal CandidateA minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably involving writs of mandate, municipal/public entity litigation, and/or land use lawA demonstrated interest or background in housing and land use law, especially in the municipal contextFamiliarity or a strong desire to learn and work with laws such as the Housing Accountability Act, affordable housing regulations, housing elements, builder's remedy and land use litigationExcellent analytical and writing skillsExperience drafting and arguing dispositive motionsStrong academic credentials and the ability to take initiative and work independently within a collaborative teamBBK offers a hybrid/remote work schedule and the opportunity to engage with important legal issues shaping California communities. This position may be based in any of BBK's California offices.
