Position Purpose & Summary

Reporting to Director of Housekeeping, the Laundry Runner Position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of guest room hallways, housekeeping closets, ice machines, elevators and other public areas as well as running guest requests, housekeeping supplies and laundry.

Essential Functions:

• Keeps all guest hallways and stairways neat, clean, vacuumed and dusted.
• Cleans all linen closet floors and empties trash on floors
• Delivers clean linens to the Housekeeping areas daily.
• Restocks guestroom supplies in the linen closet whenever necessary
• Maintains inventory of all guest supplies. Delivers guest request items when assigned.
• Assists the room attendants by removing soiled linen and trash from carts and rooms throughout the day and brings to the laundry.
• Delivers linen from the laundry room to the floors upon request.
• Folds all towels to be distributed to assigned room attendants.
• Offers all assistance possible to guests.
• Assists during general cleaning times with tasks such as turning mattresses, deep cleaning and other projects.
• Sorts and separates soiled and clean linen into laundry carts.
• Assists with linen inventory.
• Delivers rollaways and cribs to guests.
• May perform laundry attendant duties as required.
• Cleans assigned quota of rooms daily according to standards.
• Always maintains a clean and neat area.
• Reports all maintenance problems to Supervisor / Engineering.
• Keeps linen closets clean.
• Deliver "I Am Proud" service standards and department-specific signature touch points.
• Establish cross-departmental channels of communication among teammates that are consistent and complete.

Position Requirements:

Minimum Knowledge & Skills: Requires basic employment skills in clerical, service, or manual areas.

Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: Some experience with the ABC's of housekeeping and room cleaning is beneficial but not required

License, Registration, and/or Certification Required: Valid Driver's License

Environmental Factors:

Environmental factors may include indoor and outdoor settings with overhead lighting and outdoor lighting. Significant portions (more than 80%) of daily assignments involve standing, bending, walking, reaching, pushing, pulling and application of manual skills requiring motor coordination in combination with finger dexterity, e.g., cleaning with brushes, rags, vacuum, mop and other machine operations. May occasionally be called upon to work in all areas of the property, both inside and outside, possibly in inclement weather.
