Houseman / Public Area

DUTIES/TASKS:

1. Maintain cleanliness of all public spaces. This includes the outside patio areas, spa, and pool. Completes a daily task checklist to ensure all areas are kept clean.
2. Support laundry by helping with tasks such as folding linens and towels. Some loading and unloading of washers may be required.
3. Cleans guest rooms when assigned by the Manager on Duty. Primarily the cleaning of stayovers at the request of a guest during evening hours. Occasional stripping of vacant dirty guest rooms may be assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.
4. Supports the front desk staff by delivering items to guest rooms. May include making up of some rollaway beds before delivery to rooms, and the setting up of cribs with bedding.
5. Maintains security for guests and property by following all security and safety regulations. Does frequent walk through of property while on duty to ensure that all doors are closed, etc.
6. Evening shift will be responsible for closing the spa and pool.

EDUCATIONS: The ability to read, write and speak English.

EXPERIENCE: Previous hotel/hospitality experience a plus. Previous cleaning and laundry experience required.

PHYSICAL: While performing this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands to finger; or feel objects, tools or controls; lift boxes (up to 15 pounds); talk and hear. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision to a computer screen.
