Houseman/ Maintenance

Introduction:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Engineer to join our team and provide maintenance and repair services to our facility. The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including electrical and plumbing repairs, HVAC maintenance, and general upkeep of the facility. The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving and communication skills and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Hotel Houseman supports the housekeeping department by maintaining cleanliness throughout the hotel, delivering supplies, assisting housekeeping staff, and ensuring guest areas are clean, safe, and presentable

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, including electrical and plumbing repairs, HVAC maintenance, and general upkeep of the facility

• Identify and troubleshoot issues with equipment and systems, and make necessary repairs

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance to ensure the facility is in good working condition

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance and repair activities

• Communicate effectively with other team members and management to ensure timely completion of tasks

• Other duties as assigned

  • Clean and maintain hallways, lobbies, elevators, stairways, and other public areas.
  • Remove trash and replace garbage bags.
  • Deliver linens, towels, toiletries, and other supplies to housekeeping staff.
  • Assist room attendants with heavy or difficult tasks when needed.
  • Clean and organize housekeeping closets and service areas.
  • Transport dirty linens and collect used towels and other housekeeping materials.
  • Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, or damaged items to management.
  • Assist with moving furniture and setting up rooms or meeting areas.
  • Respond to guest requests professionally and courteously.
  • Follow hotel cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the housekeeping supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a maintenance engineer or in a similar role

• Skilled in a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Ability to multitask and handle a high-volume workload

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are a plus
