Are you an experienced housekeeper who enjoys helping others succeed and leading by example? We're looking for a Housekeeping Team Leader to serve as a trusted resource for the housekeeping team while helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout our community. In this role, you'll be the go-to person for team members, providing guidance, answering questions, and supporting daily operations, especially in the absence of the Housekeeping Supervisor.
Full-time, Monday - Friday, with rotating weekends. Flexible shifts available.

Position Summary: The Housekeeping Team Leader serves as a working lead within the Housekeeping Department, providing day-to-day guidance and support to housekeeping staff while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service. This position acts as a key liaison between Housekeepers and Housekeeping Leadership and serves as the primary point of contact for the team in the absence of the Housekeeping Supervisor. The Team Leader leads by example, assists with staff training, helps coordinate daily work assignments, monitors quality standards, and works alongside the team to ensure housekeeping services are delivered efficiently and effectively. While not a management position, this role plays an important leadership function by supporting team development, reinforcing departmental expectations, and helping ensure seamless operations throughout the community.
- Serve as the go-to resource for housekeeping team members, answering questions and providing day-to-day guidance.
- Act as the department lead in the absence of the Housekeeping Supervisor, helping ensure smooth operations and appropriate staff coverage.
- Assist with training, onboarding, and coaching team members while reinforcing department policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Coordinate daily work assignments, monitor performance, and inspect assigned areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and sanitation expectations are met.
- Work alongside the housekeeping team to complete routine cleaning duties, support special projects, and assist in Residential and Medical Housekeeping areas as needed.
- Maintain department readiness by monitoring supplies and equipment, promoting safety and regulatory compliance, and communicating operational needs and concerns to leadership.
Education and/or Experience:
- Previous housekeeping experience required, preferably in healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or a related environment.
- Prior leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation practices, safety standards, and housekeeping equipment.
- Ability to train, coach, and motivate team members effectively.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing operational needs.
- Working knowledge of residential and medical housekeeping practices preferred.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and provide shift coverage when needed.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, and staff.
- Must have reliable transportation to work and be punctual.
