Housekeeping Supervisor - Homewood Suites Memphis - Hacks Cross

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department. This includes managing a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards, and addressing any guest concerns or requests in a timely and professional manner. In addition to supervising the housekeeping team, the Housekeeping Supervisor is also responsible for conducting regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure that they meet the hotel’s cleanliness and quality standards. They must also ensure that all housekeeping staff are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties, and that all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained.

To be successful in this role, candidates should have previous experience working in a housekeeping or hospitality setting, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills are also essential for this position. Additionally, the Supervisor must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in written form, with all levels of employees, guests, and hotel leadership., in an attentive, friendly, and courteous manner. 

Experience:

• Two to three years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a hotel of comparable size and complexity including supervisory experience or training.
•  Previous supervisory responsibility preferred but not required.
