SCOPE OF POSITION:
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in all guest rooms and public areas and for promoting safety and good guest relations. Major responsibilities include ensuring guests are satisfied with hotel cleanliness; responding to guest needs; ensuring safety and security of rooms; maintaining inventory and cost controls; selecting, training, maintaining, and managing a motivated and skilled workforce. The Housekeeping Supervisor's performance is necessary for the hotel and the casino to reach their full potential in providing a superior experience for hotel and casino guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The Housekeeping Supervisor works in a hotel and office setting. The Housekeeping Supervisor regularly communicates and exchanges information with coworkers and guests. The Housekeeping Supervisor is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Work is performed throughout all areas of the facility where there may be flashing lights and the noise levels vary from quiet to loud depending on the time of day, the specifics location and the amount of business. The Housekeeping Supervisor must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays and work in a smoke-filled environment. The workplace is also under constant surveillance both inside and outside the facility.
Working conditions include the use of cleaning chemicals. Employees may work alone or closely with others. Work is completed in all areas of hotel. Employees may be required to do lifting and/or carrying. Must be capable of working in a fast paced environment and under stressful situations. Must respond to multiple task interruptions and still provide service to internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner. Administrative duties may require sitting at a computer for extended periods.
The Housekeeping Supervisor may be exposed to risks associated with resolving contentious issues with guests or staff members
