At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field required
High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Duties & Functions
Essential:
Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service oriented manner
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with New Castle standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper business attire and nametag when working
Comply at all times with New Castle standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
Inspect work performed to ensure that it meets specifications and established standards.
Select the most suitable cleaning materials for different types of linens, furniture, flooring and surfaces
Instruct staff in work policies and procedures, and the use and maintenance of equipment
Secure issued keys at all times, report lost or stolen keys immediately
Follow proper SOP on entering and securing guest rooms
Report all lost and found items to service express
Report any maintenance repairs immediately to service express
Keep immediate supervisors fully informed of all challenges or matters requiring his/her attention
Communicate to supervisors/managers any performance challenges that may require actions, such as: promotions, transfers and dismissals
Advise managers, front desk agents, or admitting personnel of rooms ready for occupancy
Notify Room Attendant(s) of any deficiencies found in room, and not on Attendant's board. Provide coaching to Room Attendant and provide visual examples whenever possible
Re-inspect corrected rooms
Enter room status into rooms system
Inspect Room Attendant carts, closets and boards
Assist with on-going training
Clean guest rooms when needed
Completes a floor walk of all floors, inspects carpets, walls, ashtrays, mirrors & lights daily
Balance and prepare individual paperwork for closing of shift
Connect with the manager on duty at the front office prior to leaving the shift
