Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, this position executes detailed cleaning of ceilings, walls, floors, drains, and equipment, tracks GMP supply inventory, manages non-biological waste removal, and maintains complete documentation adhering to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and SAP work orders. Pay rate: $23.00 - $23.45/hr
Work schedule: Swing Shift: Monday – Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM (40.0 hours/week)
Assignment Dates: 10/05/2026 – 04/30/2027

Overview
Part of Genentech's Innovative Therapies program, the Housekeeping Cleaning Technician performs routine cleanroom and facility sanitization within GMP-controlled environments. Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, this position executes detailed cleaning of ceilings, walls, floors, drains, and equipment, tracks GMP supply inventory, manages non-biological waste removal, and maintains complete documentation adhering to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and SAP work orders.
Job Specifications

• Perform routine cleaning, sanitization, and maintenance of GMP-controlled spaces, including ceilings, walls, floors, drains, stainless steel surfaces, windows, ledges, and vents
• Maintain epoxy, concrete, rubber tile, and sheet vinyl flooring by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and operating floor scrubbers
• Execute work orders in SAP and complete all cleaning logs accurately using Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
• Operate facility equipment safely, including floor scrubbers, manual pallet jacks, and scissor lifts
• Collect and dispose of non-biological waste and recyclable materials across designated GMP production areas
• Maintain inventory levels of GMP cleaning supplies and report process deviations, quality issues, or equipment repairs to management
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1 to 2 years of experience cleaning within GMP-controlled areas, cleanrooms, or gowned manufacturing environments required
• Experience operating floor scrubbers, scissor lifts, and manual pallet jacks required
• Basic computer proficiency required (for SAP work order execution and training modules)
• Physical ability to perform repetitive motion tasks, work safely around cleaning chemicals, and lift/carry up to 25 lbs required
