Housekeeper

We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented, and friendly Housekeeper to join our senior living community!

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and team members. This position plays an important role in ensuring resident rooms, common areas, and community spaces are clean, organized, and welcoming.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has good attention to detail, and enjoys helping others.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain resident apartments, bathrooms, common areas, hallways, dining rooms, offices, and other community spaces.
• Perform daily cleaning duties, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, kitchens, and frequently touched surfaces.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste properly.
• Change bed linens and make beds as needed.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and other housekeeping items.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and maintain assigned areas according to community standards.
• Properly use and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Follow infection control procedures and proper sanitation practices to help prevent the spread of illness.
• Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damages to the appropriate supervisor.
• Respect residents' privacy, personal belongings, and living spaces at all times.
• Respond to housekeeping requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain a friendly and respectful attitude when interacting with residents, families, visitors, and team members.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred.
• Experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or a similar environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of general cleaning practices, sanitation, and proper use of cleaning products.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks independently.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
• Friendly, patient, and respectful attitude when working with seniors.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
