    This position reports to the environmental services supervisor. Shift times can be either 8:00am-4:30pm or 6:30am-3:00pm, Monday through Friday.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to) for a Housekeeper II:

    • Maintains overall cleanliness of all assigned areas. Primary duties to include mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting ,trash removal, and general cleaning.
    • Sanitizes common areas, public and private bathrooms, and the overall cleaning of resident living areas.
    • Maintains confidentiality with reference to resident information
    • Communicates effectively with staff members; residents and family to ensure needs are met.
    • Organizes materials and manages time to ensure tasks are done in a timely manner.
    • Uses all equipment, chemicals, and supplies according to OSHA, state, and facility guidelines.
    • Adheres to the dress code and wearing a visible nametag while on the job
    • Knows and follows the policies in the Oakwood team member handbook.
    • Completes departmental and general in-services training.
    • Reports work orders to the appropriate department and maintain a safe working environment
    • Operates appriopriately all department machinery: including but not limited to Host machine, auto scrubber, stripper, upholstery/extractor machine, and wide-area vacuum, etc.
    • Responsible for cleaning of carpets and upholstery to help maintain them in good condition, to include daily cleaning and caring for all floor-care machinery.
    • Responsible to strip, wax, buff, mop all hard floors as needed to keep up attractive appearances.
    • Supports and serves as back up of housekeeper I positions as needed.
    • Completes work orders pertaining to emergency floor care maintenance.

    ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS of a Housekeeper II

    • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds on a daily basis.
    • Work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and occasional overtime.
    • Work in a partnership environment which fosters effective teamwork.
    • Maintains departmental quality assurance and infection control standards.
    • Willing to be cross-trained in order to fill in at other housekeeping areas as needed.

    EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND/OR TRAINING for a Housekeeper II

    • High school education or equivalency preferred.
    • Prior housekeeping experience and/or floor care experience preferred.
