    Responsibilities

    The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within designated areas, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for residents, clients, and guests. They perform a variety of cleaning tasks according to established standards and procedures, contributing to the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the facility or residence. In addition, you will:

    • Daily vacuuming on all carpeted floors and rugs.
    • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed. Dispose of garbage and recyclables in accordance with

    established procedures

    • Scrub floors, clean, disinfect mirrors, towel holders, doorknobs, and fixtures in all restrooms.
    • Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and cleaning products. Monitor inventory levels,

    order as needed and code invoices for payment.

    • General dusting of furniture, shelves, and wood trim
    • Sweep hard surface floors every day and mop as needed.
    • Ability to operate buffing and burnishing equipment.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, or exposure to hazardous substances. Report any safety concerns to supervisor.
    • Comply with health and sanitation regulations and guidelines relevant to the industry.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Additional work experience may be substituted for educational requirements.

    Experience:

    • Prior experience in housekeeping activities.

    Knowledge/Skills:

    • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and products.
    • Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently without compromising quality.
    • Excellent time management skills.
    • Well organized and dependable.
    • Excellent verbal communication skills.

    Licenses/Certifications:

    • Mandatory Reporter of Child/Dependent Adult Abuse Certification or the ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire and every three (3) years thereafter required.
