Housekeeper

 POSITION SUMMARY: The Housekeeper performs daily, and scheduled custodian tasks as assigned by the by the manager. They are a collaborative team member in the day-to-day maintenance of the facility for the enjoyment, cleanliness, and safety of residents and employees. We are currently hiring for the following Housekeeper positions: one full-time position (8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.)Monday-Friday, one part-time position (10 hours per week) at our LIIC Clinic, and two part-time positions. Candidates applying for the part-time positions must be flexible, as weekend availability is required on an as-needed basis

QUALIFICATIONS:

        High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

        Experience of one year with cleaning equipment.

        Ability to lift 50 lbs. and to be able to bend, stoop and twist.

        Ability to lift 50 lbs.

        Well-groomed and appropriately dressed.

        Good common sense.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but is not limited to):

        Know and carry out the charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph - to unite neighbor with neighbor and neighbor with God.

        Maintain the areas assigned in a clean, sanitary, and attractive condition.

        Maintains equipment in good condition.

        Removes waste properly.

        Vacuum rugs and clean rooms/sweeps and mops.

        Adheres to infection control policies.

        Cleans all bathrooms in assigned areas.

        Laundry

        Prepare rooms for sisters moving in

        Hospitality preparation.

        Help with setting up events.

        Restock supplies and maintenance or safety concerns.

        Serve meals in a professional, courteous, and timely manner when needed.

        Clear and reset tables following meal service when needed.

        Assist with dishwashing and kitchen cleanup when needed.

        Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a living with assistance. It may also be subject to dark, enclosed, or tight spaces to clean. This role routinely uses various equipment including but not limited to:

        Equipment - mop, broom, dustpan, cloths, brushes, dusters, etc.

        Supplies: glass, furniture, toilet, and floor cleaners, etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly uses hands and fingers to handle, grasp, feel or operate objects or equipment, and reach with hands and arms. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently or constantly to move utilize tools, bend, carry, push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, or otherwise move objects. This position involves standing, kneeling, and bending.
