Job Title: Housekeeper
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday with every-other-weekend required

As a Housekeeper, you'll support the daily operations by ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of resident rooms and common areas. You'll collaborate closely with the Housekeeping Manager and healthcare staff to uphold high standards of cleanliness, infection control, and resident comfort.

What You’ll Do
As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for:
  • Cleaning resident rooms, hallways, dining areas, and bathrooms to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing assigned areas regularly.
  • Handling laundry duties by sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and personal clothing.
  • Removing trash and Waste Management: segregate solid waste, recyclables, and bio-hazardous waste properly.
  • Restocking supplies and reporting safety or maintenance concerns promptly to management.
  • Interacting with residents and their families with professionalism, patience, and compassion, ensuring a respectful environment.

What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • At least 6 months of experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles.
  • Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs throughout the shift.
  • Ability to meet WorkWell health clearance requirements and provide proof of immunizations, including MMR, Varicella, Hep B, Flu, and TB screening.
  • Reliable availability for scheduled hours including every-other-weekend shifts.
  • Strong communication skills coupled with a caring attitude toward residents, especially older adults.

Location & Schedule:
This is an on-site position in Bangor, ME. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with every-other-weekend shifts required.
