ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Schedule/Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:00am-2:00pm or Friday-Sunday 8:00am-2:00pm

Pay Class: Full time (28 hours)

Pay: $14.25-$14.50

This position is responsible for:

Performs a variety of housekeeping duties in a shelter setting to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Cleans bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas; collects, washes, stores, and distributes linens; ensures the overall neatness and cleanliness of the shelter on a daily basis; and supports general facility upkeep.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain clean and sanitary living spaces
• Perform laundry and linen management
• Ensure facility upkeep and safety
• Monitor and report maintenance needs
• Support overall shelter operations

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull heavy (over 50 lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment frequently. Heavy mobility duties are usually performed by combinations of standing, walking, climbing ladders or steps, bending, reaching, or transporting materials on a frequent basis, relieved by fewer periods of sitting.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Six months to one year experience performing general housekeeping duties, preferably in a shelter, residential, or institutional setting.

• OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
