    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced nursing professional to serve as a House Supervisor supporting psychiatric nursing operations in Belle Mead, New Jersey. This part-time leadership opportunity is responsible for providing nursing oversight and operational support during assigned evening and weekend hours.

    The House Supervisor helps coordinate patient care activities, supports nursing teams, responds to clinical and operational concerns, and promotes safe, effective care throughout the assigned areas.

    Schedule

    • 20 hours per week / 0.5 FTE
    • Weekdays: 3:45 PM-11:45 PM
    • Every other weekend: 7:45 AM-7:45 PM
    • Holiday rotation: 3 of 6 holidays
    • On-call commitment required
    • On-site position; telework is not available

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide supervisory oversight for psychiatric nursing operations during assigned shifts.
    • Coordinate staffing and nursing resources based on patient care and operational needs.
    • Serve as a leadership resource for nursing staff and assist with clinical or operational issues that arise during the shift.
    • Promote compliance with established patient safety, nursing practice, and organizational standards.
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration among nursing staff, clinical teams, and leadership.
    • Assist with maintaining continuity and quality of patient care across assigned areas.
    • Respond appropriately to urgent situations and support effective problem resolution.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to staff while promoting a professional and patient-focused environment.


    Required Qualifications

    • Active nursing license or applicable professional licensure/certification required for the position.
    • Ability to provide effective nursing leadership and supervision in a behavioral health environment.
    • Ability to work the required evening, weekend, holiday, and on-call schedule.
    • Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond effectively to changing patient-care priorities.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Previous psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience.
    • Prior charge nurse, supervisory, or nursing leadership experience.
    • Experience coordinating clinical operations, staffing, and patient-care activities.
