Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced nursing professional to serve as a House Supervisor supporting psychiatric nursing operations. This part-time leadership position provides oversight of nursing activities, promotes safe and effective patient care, and serves as a key clinical and operational resource during assigned shifts.
The position is ideal for an RN who is comfortable providing leadership in a behavioral health environment and coordinating nursing operations across multiple areas.
Schedule- 28 hours per week
- Primary shift: Evenings, 3:45 PM-11:45 PM
- Every other weekend: 7:45 AM-7:45 PM
- Holiday requirement: Three of six holidays
- On-call commitment required
- Position is on-site and not eligible for telework
Key Responsibilities- Provide shift-level nursing leadership and operational oversight within a psychiatric care environment.
- Coordinate nursing activities to support appropriate staffing, patient coverage, and continuity of care.
- Serve as a clinical and administrative resource for nursing staff during assigned shifts.
- Assist with addressing patient care concerns, staffing issues, and operational needs as they arise.
- Promote compliance with established clinical practices, safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate communication among nursing teams, clinical departments, and leadership.
- Support timely problem-solving and escalation of significant clinical or operational concerns.
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and patient-centered behavioral health environment.
- Provide leadership during evening, weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage as scheduled.
Required Qualifications- Active nursing license or applicable professional licensure/certification required for the position.
- Nursing experience appropriate for a supervisory role.
- Ability to provide clinical and operational leadership in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting.
- Ability to work the required evening, alternating weekend, holiday, and on-call schedule.
Preferred Qualifications- Previous psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience.
- Prior charge nurse, house supervisor, or nursing leadership experience.
- Experience coordinating staffing and clinical operations in an inpatient healthcare environment.
