As aHouse Supervisor, you willbe responsible formonitoring and coordinatingintradepartmentaland interdepartmental functioning of the hospital. You willbe responsible forthe direction, supervision, coordination, and evaluation of nursing performance and activities related to the care and treatment of patients within the hospital on a specific shift.
You will coordinate the assignments of patients to specific units
You will assign nursing staff to specific clinical areas within the hospital
You will act as the official representative of management and administrative staff of the hospital in their absence
You will assess personnel needs based on census, acuity, and special needs of each unit
Experience
Minimum of (5) years of clinical practice, (3) of which have been as a Charge Nurse or similar management role
Education
Associate’s degree in Nursing(ADN)
Completion of or actively pursuing Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – preferred
Licenses and Certifications
Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License. If Compact License, Texas license must be obtained within90 daysof hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy
