House Supervisor (House Sup) Travel RN

We are seeking an experienced House Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of one year of experience as a House Supervisor or RN Manager, with a strong background in emergency department (ED) settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the inpatient unit, ensuring adherence to departmental protocols and standards.
• Manage staff assignments and facilitate patient care in a 25-bed unit.
• Respond to emergencies and provide leadership during critical situations.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver quality patient-centric care.
• Support and mentor nursing staff to enhance skill levels and promote professional growth.

Our unit serves a variety of patient diagnoses, including but not limited to:

• Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
• Pneumonia
• Chest pain observation
• Syncope
• Diverticulitis
• Cellulitis
• Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
• Alcohol withdrawal
• Opiate withdrawal
• General debility and rehabilitation needs

The clinical unit specializes in a mix of swing bed, detox, and medical patients. The average daily census is approximately 19 patients, with a staffing ratio of 1:6 during the day and 1:7 at night, supported by LPN staff for medication administration and patient care.

Special equipment, including bariatric equipment, is sourced as necessary. The unit operates with restricted respiratory therapy services available Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 3 PM only.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a House Supervisor or RN Manager required.
• Must have ED experience.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS are mandatory.
• Ability to work every other weekend.
• Open to local candidates residing more than 50 miles away.

This position requires the ability to work night shifts, specifically 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. There is no formal dress code, but scrubs are required for this role.
