House Person SUMMARY: To ensure that assigned Housekeeping areas are kept clean and fully stocked. Also ensure assigned areas meet the expectations of Four Queens Hotel & Casino Standards. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Distribute and stock linen closets with clean linens and supplies.
- Always conduct yourself in a manner that reflects a positive and professional image. Make eye contact, smile and greet guest when seen.
- Have knowledge of where SDS booklet is located for your area.
- Report and damage and/or maintenance deficiencies in need of repair to the supervisor on duty.
- Collect dirty linen and trash from guest room attendant carts and guestroom hallways.
- Clean halls, vents, guest room doors, hotel elevators, stairwells, and ice machine areas.
- Vacuum carpet in public and back of house areas. Also vacuum under beds, behind night stands and television cabinet in guest rooms.
- Ensures that linen closets are clean and neat.
- Spot clean and wipe down walls when instructed.
- Deliver roll-away beds and refrigerators to guest rooms upon request.
- Other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES None Listed KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS - Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members and management in English in both written and verbal form. This is usually obtained through a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces and utilize personal protective equipment in accordance with OSHA hazard communication standard.
- Follow required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing of, or moving objects/materials and or the clean-up of blood, infectious materials, or bodily fluids and utilize personal protective equipment in accordance with OSHA blood born standard.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with, all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
- Must be able to present a well-groomed appearance.
WORKING/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS Work may require evening, early morning, Holiday and week end schedules. Must be able to bend, squat and kneel during assigned shift. Must be able to occasionally reach above head in performing job duties. Able to push, pull and carry up to 150 pounds. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
