About Our Family
We're a busy blended family living on the Upper West Side of Manhattan with two teenagers still living at home, a senior cat, and a puppy. We both have demanding professional lives, so we're looking for a thoughtful, capable person who can become a trusted part of our household and take real ownership of the details that keep life running smoothly.
We care about our home and want it to feel calm, organized, and well cared for. We're looking for someone who naturally notices the little things - resetting the kitchen, returning items to their place, bringing order to a cluttered space, helping keep the household organized, or spotting something that needs attention and simply taking care of it. Our home has many special and delicate belongings, so someone careful, conscientious, and genuinely proud of caring for a space will fit in beautifully.
Our household tends to be warm but quiet and independent, and one of us is often working from home. We appreciate a calm, professional presence - someone who is friendly and kind, comfortable around animals, and happy working independently without needing a lot of direction. We value good judgment, honesty, and a solutions-oriented mindset, and we want this person to feel trusted to own their work. If you're the type of person who walks into a room, notices what's out of place, figures out where it belongs, and takes care of it, you'll appreciate the independence and trust that come with working in our home.
You truly enjoy organization and take pride in creating order, structure, and ease within a home. You have a natural eye for what needs attention and notice the little things that make a household feel organized, cared for, and well run. You're someone who enjoys putting things in their place, creating simple systems, and keeping track of the details that help daily life run smoothly.
You're thoughtful, resourceful, and highly detail-oriented, with a natural ability to notice what needs attention and take care of it. You're flexible, disciplined, and comfortable figuring things out as you go, bringing a calm, capable approach to your work. You take pride in doing things carefully and well, use good judgment, and can be trusted to work independently and follow through.
You're also at ease in the kitchen and enjoy food preparation. You can prepare simple family meals and snacks, keep the kitchen organized and well stocked, and handle the small details that make mealtimes easier.
You are calm, kind, and professional, with a friendly presence and a naturally light footprint in the home. You're comfortable working independently and have a strong awareness of your surroundings - knowing when to step in, what needs attention, and how to get things done without disrupting the rhythm of the household. You are thoughtful and careful with the home, belongings, and pets, and you bring good judgment and common sense to your work. Above all, you are dependable, straightforward, and trustworthy. We value honesty, care, and consistency.
Over time, you may also have the opportunity to grow into additional administrative or business support over the next 6-9 months, as you become familiar with our family's needs. Above all, we're looking for someone thoughtful, dependable, and trustworthy who takes pride in making the household run smoothly and is interested in growing with the role over time.
