About Our Family
We are a warm, social family of four looking for a dependable, thoughtful, and proactive Household Manager & Family Assistant to help bring more ease, organization, and consistency to our daily lives. With two active children, demanding professional schedules, and plenty of moving parts throughout the week, we are looking for someone who can confidently support both the practical needs of our home and the rhythms of family life.
We're looking for someone who can bring structure to the many moving pieces behind the scenes. We have a full time nanny who will wind down over the next few years - childcare is not a part of the role now but we're hoping it will become a part of it in the future. What we need is someone to take ownership of the systems, logistics, and details that keep everything on track. This person will become an important organizational hub for the family — anticipating needs, creating order, and ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks.
Growth Over Time:
Over the next one to two years as our kids both enter school, we expect this role to grow into five days a week, about 30–35 hours with additional childcare responsibilities. Childcare is not part of the role at the start; it's a path for how the role could develop.
- Afternoons: School pickup and engagement through dinner, roughly 3–6pm on weekdays, with dinner made in that window
- Handle kids laundry: Taking it over from our nanny
- Date nights: Occasional evening babysitting
- Weekends away: Occasionally caring for the kids over a weekend while we travel
Who You Are / What We're Looking For
You're a self-starter who doesn't need to be told what to do twice, but you also know how to take direction and execute on someone else's vision. You're highly detail-oriented, proactive, and resourceful, with a natural instinct for noticing what needs to be done before being asked. You're able to juggle multiple priorities, and bring a calm, capable, can-do energy when plans shift. Most importantly, you take pride in following through and genuinely enjoy creating order and making things run smoothly.
You're also warm, sociable, and comfortable being a consistent presence in a home where the family is often around. You communicate clearly and confidently, whether coordinating with vendors, managing a calendar, or prepping a family dinner. You're tech-savvy and comfortable managing schedules, lists, and communication through tools like Google Calendar and Gmail. We're also looking to expand the role to include childcare responsibilities over time and a genuine interest in child engagement is a plus.
