Schedule:

• Monday: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
• Tuesday & Thursday: 2:00 PM – 7:30 PM
• Wednesday: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Friday: 12:00 PM – 5:30 PM 

Compensation: $35–$40 per hour, depending on experience | Mileage reimbursement provided

Start Date: ASAP

• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

About Our Family

We are a busy, fun, active family of five living in Portland proper, and we're looking for someone who wants to jump into the rhythm of our household and become a true connector, teammate, and partner.

With three energetic daughters who love cheerleading, gymnastics, soccer, and everything in between, our afternoons and evenings are rarely quiet — and that's exactly how we like it. Both parents work full-time outside the home, with one parent frequently juggling evening commitments and travel, so there are a lot of moving pieces on any given day.

We relocated to Portland within the last couple of years and have built a life here that we really love. With most of our extended family across the country, the people we welcome into our home become especially important to us. We're looking for someone who wants to know our family, connect with our girls, and work alongside us as a genuine partner in keeping life moving.

For us, this isn't a role about simply checking boxes. We want someone who takes ownership, sees what needs to happen, communicates well, and can roll with the organized chaos of a busy household. Someone who can help connect the dots between school, activities, meals, schedules, and home life — and who understands that sometimes the greatest gift is simply making it possible for us to put the logistics down and be present with our kids.

You will be the person helping manage all those important pieces in between — the daily rhythm, logistics, meals, and little details that keep a busy, happy household running.

You are a self-starter through and through. You don't wait to be told what to do next — you look around, identify what needs attention, and handle it. You ask good questions up front so you can take full ownership once you understand the household, and you're not afraid to speak up, offer ideas, or flag something that could be done better.

You genuinely enjoy being around kids. Our daughters are spirited and fun, and we want them to actually look forward to seeing you. You build real relationships, not just professional ones. You bring warmth and energy without overstepping, and you respect our family's choices without judgment or commentary.

You're flexible, reliable, and comfortable shifting between household tasks and kid logistics — sometimes in the same hour. You don't mind evenings, you can handle a busy household, and you thrive in an environment where no two days look exactly alike. Experience level matters less to us than attitude, initiative, and genuine care.

Key Responsibilities

Family Support & Child Assistance

• Pickup and drop-off to and from afterschool and evening activities (distances up to approximately 30 minutes away)
• Light supervision, homework oversight, and evening snack and backpack prep
• Kid-related errands
• Occasional evening childcare coverage, approximately twice per month (date nights)

Laundry & Linen Care

• Full laundry cycle: washing, folding, organizing, and putting away for the entire family
• Linen rotation and management
• Maintain a tidy, well-stocked laundry area

Meal Support

• Prepare approximately 3 family dinners per week using a simple rotating recipe rotation (straightforward, fresh-ingredient meals)
• Prepare 2 macro-friendly adult meals per week (recipes provided)
• Wash and prep produce throughout the week
• Kitchen clean-up and maintenance

Household Organization & Maintenance

• Daily tidying, surface resets, and dishes between cleaner visits
• Maintain and improve household organization systems throughout the home
• Entryway organization
• Seasonal swaps for clothing, bedding, and décor
• Change batteries, light bulbs, and smoke detector batteries as needed
• Coordination of donation drop-offs
• Event, holiday, and guest preparation
• Packing and unpacking support for travel

Inventory & Errands

• Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies
• Manage running supply lists and household orders via Amazon, Costco, Target, and Instacart, etc.
• Handle returns, mail, package management, and breaking down boxes
• Gift shopping and dry cleaning drop-offs as needed

Administrative Support

• Calendar management, including syncing school and activity schedules to Google Calendar
• Appointment scheduling and event coordination
• Research and coordinate home repair quotes and vendor scheduling
• Travel planning and logistics support

Pet Care

• Comfortable around dogs; occasional walking and coordination of grooming appointments helpful
• Maintain pet supplies

Vehicle Upkeep

• Occasional interior cleaning and organization of the family vehicle
• Schedule routine vehicle maintenance as needed

Deep Cleaning & Special Projects

• Occasional deep cleaning of fridge, oven, and baseboards
• Organizational projects for toys, sports gear, and seasonal equipment as needed
• Manage outdoor deck tidying
