The Heathers Senior Homes is a family-owned boutique assisted living and memory care community with homes in Ringwood and Lake in the Hills, IL. We are proud to be recognized as
McHenry County’s Best Senior Living Community for 3 consecutive years.
We are seeking a
compassionate, organized, and hands-on House Manager to help lead the daily operations of one of our senior living homes and ensure our residents receive exceptional care in a warm, safe, and welcoming environment.
The Role
The House Manager is a key member of the leadership team and serves as the
day-to-day leader of the home. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working directly with residents and staff while maintaining high standards throughout the household.
The ideal candidate is someone who naturally takes ownership, communicates well, notices the details, and leads by example. You will work closely with Care Partners, the Nursing team, families, and leadership to ensure the home consistently reflects
The Heathers Way.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the home and ensure a safe, clean, welcoming environment.
- Lead and support the Care Partner team while promoting teamwork, accountability, and high standards.
- Partner closely with the Nursing team to ensure consistent communication, coordination, and exceptional resident care.
- Ensure residents receive personalized care and that their needs are communicated and addressed.
- Build strong relationships with residents and families and provide outstanding customer service.
- Oversee household routines including meals, activities, cleanliness, laundry, resident care, and documentation.
- Assist with staff scheduling, onboarding, training, and daily team communication.
- Monitor supplies, home needs, and the overall presentation of the home.
- Partner with the leadership team to address concerns and continuously improve the resident and employee experience.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of caregiving and dementia care experience; CNA preferred.
- A genuine passion for serving seniors and creating meaningful resident experiences.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Someone who takes ownership, follows through, and leads by example.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Care Partners, Nursing, residents, families, and leadership.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet required background and employment screening requirements.
Why Join The Heathers?
At The Heathers, we believe senior living should feel personal—not institutional. Our homes are designed around relationships, dignity, familiarity, and creating an environment where residents and employees feel like they belong.
As a House Manager, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day while being part of a growing, family-owned organization that values
compassion, accountability, teamwork, and exceptional resident experiences.
If you are a hands-on leader who takes pride in creating a beautiful home, supporting your team, and making residents feel truly cared for, we would love to hear from you.
