MBU Department: Cellular and Genetic Medicine
Duties & Responsibilities -------------------------
• Perform assigned research work as well as routine tasks in a research environment • Assist in performing assigned laboratory tasks without constant supervision • Assist staff in laboratory work • Clean and stock supplies to laboratories • Clean glassware • Maintain inventory • Perform assays • Set up and conduct experiments
Qualifications -------------
Minimum Qualifications:
• Higher education degree in one of the relevant scientific fields such as Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biology, Genetics, Immunology, Microbiology, etc. • Relevant coursework as well as knowledge of lab equipment and procedures • Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as an hourly at VCU
