Steps from the Mall of America, and part of the growing Baywood Hotels portfolio, this hotel is seeking a dedicated Shuttle Driver on a Full-Time basis with specific PM availability Monday-Thursday between 2:00PM-12:00 MIDNIGHT.
SUMMARY
The desired candidate safely transports registered guests and other individuals authorized by hotel management to designated destinations
within the hotel's transportation radius, in accordance with all company policies, traffic laws,
and safety standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Operate the company vehicle safely and in full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and
local traffic laws, motor vehicle regulations, and company driving policies.
Safely transport registered guests and other authorized passengers to management-approved
pickup and drop-off locations within the hotel's designated service area.
Verify that the hands-free communication device is connected and functioning properly before
beginning each shift.
Perform a pre-trip vehicle safety inspection using the approved inspection checklist before
transporting passengers.
Maintain the cleanliness of the shuttle by removing trash and performing light cleaning as needed.
Ensure the vehicle remains in safe operating condition and promptly report any maintenance,
mechanical, or safety concerns to management.
Maintain accurate vehicle inspection, mileage, fuel, and service records as required.
Monitor the vehicle's fuel level and replenish fuel as needed to ensure uninterrupted service.
Operate and maintain the assigned company or leased vehicle in compliance with all applicable
federal, state, and local laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
Greet passengers warmly and professionally as they board and exit the shuttle.
Offer bottled water to passengers during warm weather, when available and in accordance with
hotel standards.
Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage or other personal belongings as needed.
Keep company vehicle keys in your possession at all times and never leave the shuttle running
or unattended.
Coordinate passenger pickup and drop-off schedules to maximize efficiency while providing timely
and reliable transportation.
Communicate with the Front Desk and other hotel departments regarding transportation requests,
delays, and guest needs.
Immediately report any accidents, injuries, vehicle damage, traffic citations, or safety incidents to
management.
Follow all company safety procedures, including defensive driving practices and seat belt
requirements.
Maintain a professional appearance and provide exceptional guest service at all times.
Support other hotel departments as needed during periods of downtime or when transportation
demand is low.
Perform other duties as assigned to support hotel operations and enhance the guest experience.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Physical Demands:
Walking and Standing: 20%
o Must be able to carry 50 lbs. up to 25 feet.
Lifting, Push/Pull: 20%
o Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
o Must be able to lift 50 lbs. to the waist, chest, and above the head.
Bending, Stooping, Reaching:20% (throughout the entire shift).
o Must be able to bend at the knees with up to 40 lbs., standing to an upright position.
Sitting: while driving vehicle
Driving: 80%

Environmental Conditions:
Inside: Protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes.
Outside: Often transitioning from inside to outside of building and vehicle, assisting guests in
varying weather conditions
Education:
High School diploma preferred
Certifications / Licenses:
Must possess and maintain a Motor Vehicle Operator's License in good standing at all times.
Must notify management if Motor Vehicle License is suspended or violations within 24 hours or
next worked shift.
Experience:
2 years van driver experience preferred
