About the Role:
Courtyard by Marriott in Shelton, CT is looking for a reliable and skilled Hotel Maintenance Worker to help keep our property in top-notch condition. This is a hands-on role where you'll play a vital part in ensuring every guest enjoys a comfortable, safe, and well-maintained stay. Responsibilities:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on guest rooms, common areas, and hotel facilities
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff
• Conduct repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems
• Inspect and maintain pool, fitness center, and other amenity areas
• Troubleshoot and repair appliances, furniture, fixtures, and equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety codes, hotel standards, and Marriott brand guidelines
• Maintain accurate logs of completed maintenance work and inspections

Requirements:

• Previous experience in hotel maintenance, facilities management, or a related trade
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentry
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and safety guidelines
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, can-do attitude
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform hands-on labor throughout the shift
