    Job Title: Temporary Hotel Maintenance Technician

    Employment Type: Temporary / Full-Time

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a reliable, skilled Temporary Hotel Maintenance Technician to support our facilities team during a high-demand period. In this role, you will ensure our guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities remain in excellent working order. You will address daily maintenance requests, perform general repairs, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for our guests.

    Key Responsibilities

    • General Repairs: Perform routine repairs involving basic plumbing (unclogging drains, fixing leaking faucets), light electrical work (replacing fixtures, outlets, switches), and minor carpentry.

    • Room Maintenance: Address guest room work orders promptly, including fixing furniture, door locks, TVs, and wall coverings.

    • HVAC & Appliances: Perform basic troubleshooting on PTAC/HVAC units, mini-fridges, and standard hotel appliances.

    • Cosmetic Upkeep: Patch drywall, perform paint touch-ups, and keep common areas looking polished.

    • Safety & Compliance: Inspect public spaces and walkways for safety hazards, ensure emergency exits remain clear, and follow all OSHA and hotel safety protocols.

    • Preventive Maintenance: Assist the permanent team with scheduled routine checks on boilers, pool equipment (if applicable), and general building systems.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Experience: 1–3 years of general maintenance experience, ideally in hospitality, residential management, or commercial facilities.

    • Technical Skills: Basic working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and general hardware repair.

    • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and climb ladders throughout an 8-hour shift.

    • Communication: Strong customer service skills to interact politely with guests when handling in-room repairs.
