    Job Description

    The Hotel Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining and repairing the Hotel’s facilities, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for guests and staff. This role involves routine maintenance tasks, emergency repairs, and collaboration with other departments to address any facility-related issues that arise.

    Location

    In-person in Las Vegas, NV, 89109: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).

     

    Responsibilities

    • Address and resolve maintenance ticket issues promptly and follow up on existing maintenance tickets.
    • Respond to hotel maintenance calls daily.
    • Inspect guest rooms, lobby areas, and equipment regularly to repair, replace, or correct miscellaneous items needed.
    • Complete necessary task assignments including those requiring kneeling, bending or stooping.
    • Report all items in need of repair and other major repairs to the manager.
    • Address stressful situations and guests with a positive attitude, tact, and politeness.
    • Perform minor repairs and coordinate with the Hotel Management for more complex issues.
    • Perform regular inspections and maintenance on hotel facilities, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building infrastructure.
    • Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of equipment, machinery, and common areas. Address any sanitation concerns and adhere to health and safety regulations.
    • Implement and follow a preventive maintenance schedule to avoid potential problems and ensure optimal equipment and facility performance.
    • Act quickly and efficiently in response to facility emergencies, such as equipment malfunctions, leaks, or power outages.
    • Keep track of maintenance supplies and equipment. Replenish inventory as needed and maintain organized storage.
    • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and any issues encountered. Prepare reports as required.
    • Work closely with hotel management and other departments to address maintenance needs and support overall hotel operations.
    • Follow all safety procedures and regulations, ensuring that maintenance activities do not pose risks to guests or staff.

     

    Skills / Experience

    • Proven experience in facility maintenance or a related field. Previous experience in a casino or hospitality environment is a plus.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
    • Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues quickly and effectively.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with team members and interact professionally with guests.
    • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions.
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) are preferred but not required.

     

    Physical Requirements

    • The ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
    • Use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
    • The ability to regularly lift and/or move objects weighing at least 50 pounds and push or pull items weighing up to 200 pounds with assistance.
    • The ability to work in an environment with a moderate noise level.
    • Must be able to climb ladders up to 30 ft. high for prolonged periods of time.
    • Must be able to reach in all
    • The ability to be exposed to several factors, including dust, cigarette smoke, and possibly various outside weather conditions.
    • May include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on casino operating hours.
