Wyndham Indianapolis West is looking for a dependable, hands-on Hotel Maintenance Technician to help keep our hotel safe, comfortable, and operating at its best. If you enjoy troubleshooting, working with your hands, and taking pride in maintaining a welcoming environment for guests and team members, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance and general repairs throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
Complete basic repairs involving HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests.
Inspect equipment and building systems to identify maintenance needs and ensure a safe, well-maintained property.
Troubleshoot maintenance issues and complete repairs efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of completed repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.
Keep the maintenance shop, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Work closely with other hotel departments to provide an exceptional guest experience.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous hotel, commercial, or residential maintenance experience preferred.
General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and building maintenance.
Plumbing and electrical knowledge preferred. Candidates who are eager to learn and develop their skills in these areas are encouraged to apply.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and reaching.
